Artist and identity boxes at CCCB

For four days, Angélica Dass developed the Yo(tro) [I(other)] workshop at CCCB where the aim was to create an artist’s box that would talk about the participants identities. The children began by looking for their own skin color and drawing their self-portrait, then they answered different questions about themselves with collages and intervened to their liking each box in which they could keep the rest of their work. Finally, as a result of all the activity, they prepared an exhibition for their parents and other visitors to CCCB. As part of the same project, Angélica trained a team of educators from the cultural center who gave the Self-Portrait and Flesh Colour Drawing workshop throughout the summer.

The children were able to recognize themselves, identify their personal traits and the importance of their roots
