TEDx São Paulo

We are all human and we are all Humanae. Angelica Dass’s photographs challenge our thinking about skin color and ethnic identity. In this lecture, learn about what is behind her photographic project, Humanae, and her quest to document the true colors of humanity, rather than the false ones – white, red, black and yellow – associated with race, as well as the development the project has had in schools around the world where teachers no longer offer a single flesh color pencil, but teach their students to look for their own skin color.

TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. TED believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world.
